Our Story

Our handsewn appliquè and embroidery designs are carefully stitched onto the fabric by a small team of highly skilled women.

The Minim House team is led by our founder, Margie Howard, an interior designer (www.minimdesign.co.za) previously behind the bedlinen brand Howard's House.

We use 100% linen and 100% cotton with mercerized cotton embroidery threads from DMC in all our homeware products.

Much of our design inspiration is taken from the natural beauty of the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where we are based.

This too has shaped a focus on sustainability.

Products are hand-made in small batches to minimise waste and importantly, designed to last.

We carry a limited stock of fabric and made up goods which means our colours and patterns will change depending on availability from our fabric suppliers and what is currently inspiring us.
